Commercial Battery Storage
Store surplus solar energy for use when you need it. Our hybrid battery inverter systems increase self-consumption, reduce grid imports and protect against rising energy prices.
Make the most of every kWh your panels generate
Without battery storage, surplus solar electricity generated during the day is exported to the grid at relatively low SEG rates. A battery captures this surplus and stores it for use later, dramatically increasing your self-consumption and reducing what you need to import from the grid.
We offer a range of hybrid battery inverter systems that act as both the solar inverter and battery inverter in one, simplifying installation and reducing costs.
- ✓Hybrid inverter systems handle both solar and battery in one unit
- ✓Increased self-consumption, typically 60-85% vs 30-45% without battery
- ✓Reduced grid imports and lower electricity bills year-round
- ✓Blackout protection available with selected systems
- ✓Compatible with existing solar and retrofit to most systems

Discuss your project →Battery storage: your questions answered
How does battery storage reduce our energy bills?
Batteries let you store cheap or self-generated electricity and use it when grid prices are highest. Paired with solar, they lift self-consumption significantly; on their own, they enable tariff arbitrage (charging overnight on low rates and discharging during peak periods) and can reduce peak-demand charges.
Can batteries keep us running during a power cut?
Yes, with the right configuration. Systems with backup capability can island critical circuits during an outage, keeping essential equipment such as refrigeration, servers or security systems online. We discuss which loads matter most to your business at the design stage.
How long do commercial batteries last?
Modern lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) systems are typically warrantied for ten years or a set number of charge cycles, and are expected to retain 70-80% of capacity beyond that. We size systems conservatively so daily cycling stays well within warranty terms.
Can we add battery storage to an existing solar array?
Yes. AC-coupled batteries retrofit alongside virtually any existing solar installation without disturbing the original system. If your solar was installed under the Feed-in Tariff, we design the retrofit so your FiT payments are unaffected.
